Rhianna Yazzie is a two time Jerome Fellowship recipient, 2006-07 and 2010-11. She is an American Revolutions author with a co-commission by the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the NY Public Theater. She also writes theatre for young audiences with a notable production by the La Jolla Playhouse, Chile Pod, which reached almost 18,000 children in Southern California. She is the creator and artistic director of New Native Theatre in the Twin Cities, a company that presents a new way of looking at, thinking about, and staging Native American stories.
