The Gallery of Fridas

Description Raped at 19, the 16th century painter Artemisia Gentileschi went on to become one of the most well-respected artists of her time, remaining well-known to the present. “The Gallery of Fridas” charts her, at times, surreal journey of self-realization, as she grapples with her rape, her painting, and the effect they have on each other. Art, theatre, and movement combine to tell a tale that is both the story of one female artist and also the historical legacy of women artists.

The Funeral

Description A short 10 minute play features two aging brothers contemplating the brevity of life using the language of the everyday banal.

Interwoven with wayang kulit puppetry, monologues and intimate scenes, the play jumps between Java, and London, and the dynamics between the oppresor and the oppressed.
