Join Playwrights’ Center in giving a warm welcome to the latest recipient of our annual Many Voices Mentorship, Eponine Diatta. Eponine is an up-and-coming writer and performer known to the Twin Cities film and theater community for her work at Jungle Theater, Tru Ruts, and Youth Performance Company.  Now she’s looking forward to taking her next steps at the Center.

“The Many Voices Mentorship provides me an amazing opportunity to cultivate my skills as a writer and engage with professionals in the theater community. During my mentorship, I hope to use the resources provided to me to complete a full-length script.”

The Center’s Director of Fellowships Lynde Rosario adds, “Rooted and invested in Minnesota, Eponine Diatta has strong potential to grow as a playwright both in craft and artistic relationships.”

Made possible by a grant from the Jerome Foundation, the Many Voices Program supports Black people, people of color, and/or Indigenous people, increasing their access and visibility in contemporary theater.

We can’t wait to read that script. Welcome, Eponine!
