The Playwrights’ Center (hereinafter referred to as "PWC" and/or "the
Center") has created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment
to privacy while

and/or
using our
services, software and utilities. The following discloses our information gathering
and dissemination practices for members, donors and for visitors to www.pwcenter.org, www.3toGetReady.org,
or any Web Property of The Playwrights’ Center (the "PWC Website").

new services and sites are added.
Visits to the The Playwrights’ Center Web Sites
Anyone may visit the PWC Website and access information while remaining anonymous,
and without revealing detailed personal information. However, there are areas
of the PWC Website that are password-protected and that may require the user
to enter personal information in order to gain entry. Any such information
is used strictly for user verification purposes only.
The Playwrights’ Center’s Use of Personal Information
The Playwrights’ Center will endeavor to take appropriate steps to protect
the privacy of the information you share with us. Whenever you give The Playwrights’ Center
sensitive personal information, The Playwrights’ Center will take commercially
reasonable steps to establish a secure connection with your web browser. The
information we collect may be used to improve the content of our Web Sites,
customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor,
to deliver member services, or for marketing purposes (see "Personal Information
and Third Parties," below).
Name, Mailing Address and E-Mail Address
Throughout the PWC Website, The Playwrights’ Center collects this personal
user information to fulfill orders and requests made online. Additionally on
some forms, The Playwrights’ Center collects “opt-in” data
- this personal information is to include users in future Playwrights’ Center
mailings about services, news and features.
Telephone Numbers
Telephone numbers collected on forms throughout the site that are stored in
The Playwrights’ Center’s databases are used solely for the purpose
of verifying requests made on-line and/or delivering member services.
Credit Card Numbers
Credit card numbers are not stored on PWC Website through use of cookies or
other unsecure methods and are collected on this web site solely for the purpose
of collecting payment information. This credit card information is stored by
The Playwrights’ Center’s databases for billing and verification purposes
only.
Personal Information and Third Parties
From time to time, The Playwrights’ Center
may provide personal information about members to third
parties
in the theater industry who are interested in presenting information and/or
promotions pertinent to the topic of playwriting, or of interest to the theater
industry in general. The Playwrights' Center does not share personal information
about members with third parties in other industries, or for other purposes.

Cookie Technology
The Playwrights’ Center may use cookie technology to retain information
about site visitors. Cookies may be used throughout the site on various forms
to retain personal information, such as name, address, phone, etc., so that
if the user fills out another form on The Playwrights’ Center’s
site, this information is automatically transferred into the appropriate fields
in the new form. The Playwrights’ Center’s cookies are "client-side,” and
are deleted once the user closes his/her browser. If you do not wish to have
a cookie used on The Playwrights’ Center’s site, you may need to alter
your settings in your browser. After altering your browser settings, you will
be alerted each time a cookie is being activated, and you may choose to reject
cookies on a case-by-case basis.
Links to Third Party Web Sites
The PWC Website contains links to third party web sites. The Playwrights’ Center
is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these third

Site Security
Several areas of The Playwrights’ Center’s web sites are housed
on a secure server. All information entered in this area, including credit
card information, is entered onto The Playwrights’ Center’s secure server
area. Credit card numbers are used solely for the purpose of payment processing
and are not retained by our cookie technology.
Discontinue Contact Policy
If you want The Playwrights' Center to stop contacting you, please write, call,
or email the Center at the address below and tell us your name and address
(as
it appears on the mailing label) and/or the email address at which you received
the unwanted materials.

REFUND POLICY
Membership Dues:
In the event that you find the membership services unacceptable, The
Playwrights’ Center will provide a full refund of membership dues paid
provided that a written, signed refund request is postmarked within 30 days
of purchase date.
Refund requests postmarked more than 30 days from the original date of purchase
will subject the refund to a $10.00 administrative fee and will be prorated
on a weekly basis. Refunds will be paid by check and mailed within 30 days
of the receipt of the written refund request.
Class Fees:
From time to time The Playwrights’ Center may offer classes independently of
its educational partner, The Loft Literary Center. For classes offered directly
by The Playwrights’ Center,
where fees are collected, the refund policy is as follows:
• A full refund of any fees paid will be made if notice of withdrawl from
the class is received no later than 7 days before the date of the first class
session. Notification may be made in writing or by telephone, by calling 612-332-7481.
• A $10 administrative fee will be charged in the event that withdrawl
notification is recieved less than 7 days before the date of the first class.
• After the date of the first class session, refunds will be subject to
a $10 administrative fee, and will be prorated on a weekly basis.

Donations to The Playwrights’ Center are nonrefundable.

THE PLAYWRIGHTS’ CENTER
SHIPPING AND RETURN POLICY
The Playwrights’ Center does not sell retail products to ship.
Many member
services are delivered exclusively via email. Therefore, to make the most of
the Center’s
services, it is incumbent upon a member to maintain a valid email address, and
to designate the Center’s primary email address (info@pwcenter.org)
as a “trusted sender” in order to prevent valuable informational messages
from being blocked or filtered by “anti-spam” technologies. The Playwrights’ Center
will make all reasonable efforts to comply with current industry standards
in order to maximize the deliverability of member benefits via email but does
not
guarantee delivery to any particular email server or inbox.
Printouts (“hard copies”) of scripts submitted to The Playwrights’ Center
in consideration for the Center’s various fellowship competitions, festivals,
and/or other programs are not returned unless otherwise specified on that program’s
application form.
