Allan Staples' plays have been produced by Thirst Theater, Impact Theater, Short+Sweet Singapore, Screaming Media Productions, Northfield Arts Guild. the Bloomington Playwrights Project, Aporia Theatre, and Sticky New York. Why Actors Can’t Love won the 2006 American Theater Co-op award for one-act plays, after a very successful debut at the Minnesota Fringe Festival. His work has been developed at the Jungle Theater and the Playwrights’ Center. Allan’s work has been published be Heinemann Publishers and Smith and Kruase Publishing. He was the co-creator of the popular but short-lived variety show Radio All-Stars.
