Man Up is a musical about a boy’s struggle to overcome expectations of masculinity, a deep sibling bond, and the redemptive power of love. It’s a story for the girls who carry the world on their shoulders; it’s a story for the boys who were told they couldn’t cry. The musical is an attempt to understand, unpack, and ultimately heal the wounds all genders carry from a culture shaped by toxic masculinity.
