Gwyneth Strope has an M.F.A. in Playwriting from Hollins University. She writes and performs new works that envision, embody and embolden the stories of women.
Biography

Gwyneth Strope is a graduate of the M.F.A. playwriting program at Hollins and the producing manager for the Hollins Theatre Institute. Based in Roanoke, Gwyneth holds a B.A. in theatre from James Madison University with concentrations in performance and teaching artistry. She prides herself on being an interdisciplinary artist who writes and performs new works that envision, embody, and embolden the stories of women. As a theatre maker, Gwyneth strives for equity, access, and inclusion within her writing and theatrical processes. Her most recently produced works are To Bathe or Not to Bathe at Missouri S&T, Grace and the Ghost at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre, In Bloom at Tesseract Theatre in St. Louis, and Chrysalis at Hollins University. In Bloom was nominated for 2023's Outstanding New Play Award by the St. Louis Theater Circle and Chrysalis won the 2023 KCACTF IV David L. Shelton Award for Excellence in Playwriting. Gwyneth is also a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
