65 year old Dee has spent the previous 6 years taking care of her husband Burt, as he slowly slid and eventually succumbed  to dementia. In addition, she finds herself buffering the recurring arguments between her two adult children, Kimmy and Arthur. She’s  frustrated and mentally exhausted. She wants a change but isn’t sure of what that should exactly look like. Although not an experienced traveler, she decides to leave her predictable and familiar  ‘bubble’ and travel by air to join a tour of Bavaria, Germany. She insists on taking a particular heavy piece of carry on luggage. It belonged to Burt and triggers memories of a happier time for her family. Dee assigns the luggage talisman like properties that gives her comfort while traveling alone and in unchartered waters.

In  trying to rebook a missed connection to Germany, Dee finds herself dealing with surreal, often absurd and humorous situations in a somewhat ‘otherworldly’ airport. Her beliefs and expectations are challenged by clones, AI agents, a Buddhist monk, other passengers and the echoes of her adult children. It becomes an emotional roller coaster ride that takes her to the brink of her endurance. However, with the help of these antagonists, Dee slowly realizes the change she’s been seeking and the inner strength needed to pursue its answer.

Cast:
To reduce the number of needed actors, I intentionally wrote the play’s timing so that some actors could play, if needed, several DISTINCT characters. If correct, I expect 8 actors, 5 females and 3 males
