Biography

Janeice Scarbrough was a Jerome Fellow in 87/88.  She went from there to her home state of New Mexico, where she has spent the last 20 or so years as a Professor of Theatre teaching Playwriting, Screenwriting, and Acting for both Stage and Screen, as well as other areas of the discipline.  She was accepted into the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival's Playwrights' Intensive in Washington D.C. and spent time at the LaMaMa Theatre Playwrights' Retreat in Umbria, Italy.  She also raised a very cool son, Eamon, who is a writer, too.  She continues to write plays and screenplays and pursue her acting.
