Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico (1974).  Ms. Jelka Duchesne was raised between Bronx, New York, Montreal, Canada and Humacao, Puerto Rico. Also lived a few years in Mexico City Federal District, Mexico.

Ms. Jelka Duchesne has a BA in Theater, with a concentration in Playwriting, from the University of Puerto Rico (1998). Later she obtained a Law Degree with the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico (2004). She currently resides in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she practices civil law.

Ms. Jelka Duchesne has written several plays (unpublished) "Sombra Pasajera" (1998) "La hiel nuestra de cada día" (2000). "#thecondadolife"  is her first play written in the English language.
