After a 27 year hiatus Joe has resumed his career as a playwright. In the last 5 years Joe has written more than 10 full length plays and over 2 dozen short plays. Currently he resides in upstate NY with his wife and 3 daughters.
Successes
Joe Starzyk is one of the featured artists at the Claremorris Fringe Festival in Claremorris, Ireland. Two of his short plays will be performed there on St. Patrick's Day.
Local Playwright Joe Starzyk will have his play "Professor Roth's Will" make its West Coast Premiere in Jan. The Driftwood Players in Edmonds, WA will produce the drama from Jan 13-22. Professor Roth's Will recently had a professional reading in London, England.
Bless Me Father by Joe Starzyk, is a finalist in the Sydney Short & Sweet in Australia. The play is also a winner of the British Theater Challenge in London, England.After winning it's opening round of competition, Bless Me Father will be performed again during the March 5th & 6th finals.
Bless Me Father was named one of ten winners of the British Theatre Challenge.
