Biography

Jordan Harrison’s plays include Marjorie Prime, Maple and Vine, Futura, Doris to Darlene, Amazons and their Men, Act a Lady, Finn in the Underworld, Kid-Simple, The Flea and the Professor, The Museum Play, and Suprema, a musical. His work has been produced at Actors Theatre of Louisville, ACT, Arden Theatre, Berkeley Rep, City Theatre, Clubbed Thumb, Minetta Lane Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, and Portland Center Stage, among others. Jordan is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Hodder Fellowship, the Kesselring Prize, the Roe Green Award from Cleveland Play House, the Heideman Award, the Loewe Award for Musical Theater, an NEA/TCG grant, and Jerome and McKnight Fellowships from the Playwrights’ Center. A graduate of the Brown MFA program, Jordan is an alumnus of New Dramatists.

Successes

The upcoming Olney Theatre Center season includes “Marjorie Prime,” by Jordan Harrison, about an elderly woman working with holographs to rebuild memories. March 11-April 10. More info HERE.
