Munroe (all pronouns) is a playwright and lifelong New Englander born and raised in northern Vermont, currently based in Boston, MA. His work often centers an evolving queer identity and rural heritage to explore introspective themes of regret, family, and loss to uncover intimate truths about human communion. Their play Mary, Sweet Mary (Recipient of the Rod Parker Playwriting Fellowship Award) is premiering in March at Emerson Stage in Boston.

Two estranged brothers, JP and Iain, are stranded by a roadside on their way to a funeral. they take the time together to examine the ghosts of their past: their lives, their loss, and the things that have eternally kept them apart.

Cast:
- JP, late 20s, who is larger, broader, moderately fatherly. He is a little clumsy, though not oafish. His hands seem perpetually dirty. IAIN is his brother. - IAIN, early 20s, who is slender and sharp like a piece of broken glass. He is dry, though perpetually good-natured. His nails are painted bright blue. He does not touch anything unless specifically noted.
