Biography

Paul D'Andrea was one of the early members of the Playwrights' Center and one of the first to have a play produced in a major New York professional theater (The Trouble with Europe, Phoenix Theater -- Off-Broadway, 1980). He left the Twin Cities to found an Equity theater in Washington, D.C., Theater of the First Amendment, which has won twelve Helen Hayes awards. Paul won the Great American Play Prize at Actors Theater of Louisville. His adaptation of Lessing's Nathan the Wise is produced internationally. He wrote The Einstein Project with Center member Jon Klein.
