Emily Matthees

Emily Matthees joined the Playwrights’ Center team in March 2019 and is the Executive Staff Administrator. A self-proclaimed “arts admin nerd,” Emily holds a BFA in Arts Administration and a BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Stage Management from Viterbo University. Previous to returning to her home state, she was the Operations Manager at Weston Playhouse Theatre Company in rural Vermont where she worked with the construction team to build, open, and program the new Weston Playhouse at Walker Farm studio theatre as well as produce professional summer theatre. She has also worked at the Union Theater at UW-Madison, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Shakespeare & Co and participated in the Berkshire Hills Internship Program. Emily was born and raised in Rochester, MN and is excited to explore all the Twin Cities has to offer.
